Over the past few years many bike brands have become more in tune with the differences in men’s and women’s bodies and their differing requirements with regards to crucial parts of a bike. In general you will often see differences in the saddle and handlebar with some brands going further and changing the frame measurements and geometry alongside fitting different grips/bar tape and stems. Often handlebars on a female specific bike will be narrower and the stem shorter to reflect torso length and shoulder width. The saddle is probably the most important part to be matched to your biological makeup as this is crucial to cycling comfort. These parts can all be changed relatively easily though so if a bike you are looking at doesn’t come with a specific saddle it need not be a deal breaker as you can purchase a more appropriate model and fit it yourself.
