Pinarello is a premium Italian bicycle manufacturer, founded in 1952 by Giovanni Pinarello in Treviso, Italy. The company has a rich history in the cycling world, having sponsored numerous professional cycling teams and produced some of the most iconic racing bikes of all time.

Giovanni Pinarello, himself a former professional cyclist, began building racing bikes in the back of his father's bakery in Treviso. His bikes quickly gained a reputation for quality and innovation, and Pinarello became a sought-after brand among professional cyclists.

In 1960, Pinarello won its first major race, the Giro d'Italia, with the rider Gastone Nencini. This victory marked the beginning of a long and successful partnership between Pinarello and professional cycling. Over the years, Pinarello bikes have been ridden to victory in numerous Grand Tours, including the Tour de France, the Giro d'Italia, and the Vuelta a España.

In the 1980s, Pinarello introduced the Montello, a revolutionary bike that used aerodynamic tubing and innovative welding techniques to create a lighter, faster, and more responsive racing machine. The Montello was ridden to victory by several top-level professional cyclists, including Stephen Roche, who won the Tour de France in 1987 riding a Pinarello Montello.

Today, Pinarello continues to be a leading manufacturer of high-performance racing bikes, and the company sponsors several professional cycling teams, including Team INEOS Grenadiers (formerly Team Sky), one of the most successful teams in modern cycling history.
