BMC (Bicycle Manufacturing Company) is a Swiss bicycle brand that was founded in 1994 by Andy Rihs. BMC is known for its high-quality road bikes, mountain bikes, and triathlon bikes, as well as its sponsorship of professional cycling teams.

BMC's first bike was the BMC Streetfire, which was a lightweight aluminum road bike designed for recreational riders. The Streetfire quickly gained a reputation for quality and performance, and BMC began to expand its product line to include a range of road bikes, mountain bikes, and triathlon bikes.

In 2001, BMC began sponsoring professional cycling teams, including the Phonak Cycling Team and the BMC Racing Team. BMC bikes have been ridden to numerous victories in major races, including the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia.

BMC has also been a leader in bike technology, introducing innovations like the Integrated Skeleton Concept (ISC), which is a frame design that integrates the fork, seat post, and rear triangle to create a stiffer, more responsive ride.

In recent years, BMC has continued to expand its product line, introducing a range of electric bikes, gravel bikes, and endurance bikes designed for long-distance riding. BMC's commitment to innovation and performance has made it a popular choice among cyclists of all levels, from recreational riders to professional athletes.
