Sunshine, no wind, near perfect racing conditions, Deep South Winter Series Round 2 at the Runnymede track last Sunday was a cracker.
BMX racers from all over the south, young and old, newbies and champions (even a world champion no less) showed up and did their thing, demonstrating what an awesome sport BMX'ing is..
Highlight was seeing SJ Nichols, former World Champion racing against the men in the 40+ Cruiser category…. lets just say after a 34 year break from the sport SJ’s still got it.
Big shout out to the organizers, participating clubs, and dedicated team of volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure a fun and competitive racing experience.
So where next……
Round 3 in Andover on the 2nd December, then Bournemouth for Round 4 on the 17th December to close the year out.

Fancy having a go at BMX racing. Yes, then get down to your local club, many have websites and Facebook pages, book in for a session and then have a go. You don’t need kit as most clubs have bikes, pads and helmets for you to borrow.
See you at the track
