The Canyon Inflite CF SL is a high-quality bike with upgrades from the Alpecin-Deceuninck frame. Despite its potential for cyclocross, I have never used it for this purpose due to a medical condition I had at the time of purchase in late 2020. However, this bike is still a joy to ride, with quick acceleration and excellent cornering abilities, making it suitable for cross if desired.
I have personally used this bike for gravel and road riding. I have made some upgrades, including changing the chainset to a 172.5 sram force carbon with a 46 chainring. This setup is better for road and gravel riding, but I still have the original 42 chainring if you prefer to convert back.
I have also replaced the stem with a lighter and stronger Ritchey stem, and upgraded the saddle to a Fizik aliante. The rear mech, brakes, and levers have been upgraded to Sram rival components. The wheels are DT Swiss 1850 spline, which may not be the lightest but are very durable. I have been using 40mm Hutchinson overide tyres, which are excellent, but I will also include the original Schwalbe X One tyres in 33mm.
The bottom bracket is new, and I have also added Look classic pedals. I have all the receipts from the original purchase from Canyon, and there is still a two-year guarantee on Canyon parts.
