This Flevobike Basic recumbent bike was purchased in the Netherlands and brought to the UK for the specific purpose of teaching beginners how to ride a recumbent bicycle. While many recumbent bikes have unique features, the Basic model covers all the essentials. If you are unable to ride this bike, it is unlikely that you will be able to ride any other recumbent, especially those that are technically challenging. It typically only takes 15 minutes to teach a complete beginner how to ride this bike.

There are very few of these bikes left in Holland, as they were never mass-produced. It would be surprising to see another one in the UK. In addition to its sturdy wheels, I made sure to include reliable puncture protection with matching Marathon Plus tires. Please take a close look at all the photos.
