The simplest way to work out if a bike brand is worth considering is to ask any cycling friends if they have heard of it! If that isn’t possible then do a little bit of internet research. Find out if the brand is sold in bike shops or recognised online shops such as Wiggle. If you can only find it through links such as Amazon or it is sold through non bike shops such as a supermarket it might not be great quality and might cause more problems than it’s worth with low quality components. You might also want to look at cycling magazines or their websites to see if the brand or model has ever been reviewed. If the brand has been featured in recognised publications such as Cycling Weekly or MBR then that can often be a sign that it is a recognised and therefore ‘good’ brand.
