This pre-owned 1939 Sunbeam Golden Light Roadster Bicycle is a true gem, with its original paint and Resilion brakes. This 85-year-old bike has been upgraded with top-quality lightweight alloy parts and complementary upgrades from the pre and post-war period. It is a perfect addition to any museum or collection worldwide. While it does have some marks, scratches, and wear, it is in great condition for its age. See pictures for details.

The frame of this bicycle is a 1939 Sunbeam Golden Light Roadster with original paintwork and decals, made with AP Kromo tubing and pinstriping. The dating of this bike can be confirmed by the V-CC (Vintage Cycle Club Library) with the following information: 1) The frame number is in two parts, located on the seat lug and rear dropout. 2) The "D" on the dropout indicates the model, Golden Light Roadster. 3) The seat lug has the letters and numbers "AMC Ltd 1938-On." 4) The Sturmey Archer is a FM model dated 1939-On. 5) The tubing is AP Kromo tubing dated 1938 onwards. 6) See the last picture for more details.

The size of this bike is 52cm, with a seat tube measuring 52cm from center to center and a standover height of 77cm. The brakes are Resilion alloy levers, with a Resilion alloy rear and Resilion steel front hub. The gear system is a Sturmey Archer 4-speed FM alloy hub gear with a long lever period-correct Sturmey Archer trigger and Brevetto Longhi lightweight alloy rims. It also has 26" 650b new Michelin World Tour tires and Woods inner tubes. The front wheel has an FB hub and Brevetto Longhi lightweight alloy rims with 26" 650b new Michelin World Tour tires and Woods inner tubes. The pedals are Phillips alloy, and the bars and stem are alloy with a Reynolds girder stem. The saddle is an original Wrights sprung saddle, and it also has Bluemels alloy lightweight mudguards.

This 85-year-old Sunbeam has been upgraded with top-quality alloy parts from the pre and post-war period, making it ready to ride and function as it should. However, please keep in mind that it is an older bike and may have some marks, scratches, and light corrosion
