During lockdown, I purchased this trike second hand and had it converted to electric after a year because we live on a hill. However, I have recently switched to a tern gsd as I am carrying the children less nowadays. Although, I must say, the children prefer this one! Trikes are perfect for nervous riders as they do not tip over and you do not have to keep it steady when you stop, unlike with a two-wheeler. It is meant to be a two-seater, but when my children were younger, they would have their friends join them as well. I have three children, so I would make one sit on the floor, hence the grass! This is just velcroed on and removable. I have added an extra strong rack (I believe it can hold up to 35kg) to the back to carry an additional child. I used it with a Yepp Junior seat for my 10-year-old, but it can fit most brands of seats. I have also fitted a cafe lock on the back wheel, which is great for leaving it temporarily without having to take out the big lock. The battery and charger are obviously included. I have also put a new, comfortable saddle on it. I still have the seatbelt, although it is not pictured as I never used it, but it is in the cupboard. The hood is a bit worn and has a rip that I should sew back up, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. The side zips are also a bit sticky. However, you can buy completely new hoods in a range of colors on the Nihola website. I found that this one was fine, and the hood can be completely removed on sunny days. There are some cracks in the front plastic panel, but nothing major. It does need a service, and the brakes could be stronger. The bike shop at the end of our road does a good job with it, and Mr. Jones at Carry Me Bikes is great. I just haven't had the time, and our house currently does not have any windows. Test rides and inspections are welcome. We are located near Highbury & Islington. velo2velo additional research The Nihola Family electric cargo bike is a popular choice for families and individuals looking for a convenient and eco-friendly mode of transportation.
